Photos and Media
When you upload photos, we store and process them to provide core features including album sharing, photo organization, caption generation, and face matching.

Biometric and Face Data
GroupTag uses facial recognition technology to identify which people appear in which photos within your album. This involves collecting and processing facial geometry data (face embeddings) derived from uploaded photos, as well as from a selfie you may choose to take or upload to identify yourself within an album. Biometric data is used solely for in-album photo matching and is never sold or shared with third parties for any other purpose. You may request deletion of your biometric data at any time by contacting us.

SMS Messages
When you interact with GroupTag via SMS, we process the content of your messages to understand your requests and generate responses. Message content is used to operate the service and is not used for advertising.

Usage Information
We collect basic technical data such as timestamps, message interactions, and photo upload events to help us operate and improve the product.

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from GroupTag related to your account, albums, and the features you request. Standard message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You can re-enable messages by replying START.

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages without your explicit consent.

GroupTag collects biometric identifiers and biometric information in the form of facial geometry data derived from photos you upload, and from any selfie you take or upload to identify yourself within an album. This data is used exclusively to match faces within your album.

We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your biometric data.

We do not share biometric data with third parties except as strictly necessary to perform face matching within your album.

Biometric data is retained only as long as necessary to support your album. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

We do not sell your personal data, photos, or biometric information.

We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 3, and only to the extent necessary to operate GroupTag.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and trusted infrastructure providers. We continuously review and improve our security posture.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

GroupTag is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy as GroupTag evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
